Description: The newest addition to Strafford’s SWMO Rail and Business Park is the 350- by 400-foot building that will house L&W Industries LLC, which manufactures products for the railroad industry. Among examples of products, from L&W Industries’ website, are signal devices, grade crossing assemblies and instrument houses and cases. Located on Lot 7 in the rail park, the building features 8- by 9-foot dock doors with 30,000-pound hydraulic pit levelers, plus two larger drive-indoors. An office area takes up 6,500 square feet of the structure, and there is parking for 34 full-size trailers and 122 cars, according to project officials. L&W Industries is already partially moved in, with business operations continuing on-site in its Partnership Industrial Center East building until office construction is concluded. Upon completion of the Strafford project, the PIC East building will close, an L&W Industries representative said.
