Description: Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores Inc. is building its first truck stop in the Springfield area; the next nearest stop is located in Joplin, according to Valerie Rollins, an interior designer at Pascal Aughtry & Associates, said the truck stop would include a convenience store, showers for rent, a Hardee’s restaurant and a stand-alone tire shop. Pascal Aughtry provides the architecture work for Love’s stops around the country, which maintain a consistent design, but Rollins noted new tiles, vanities and other interior elements will be introduced. Strafford Administrator Tom Vicat said the travel stop plans to open by mid-November.
