Project description: LongHorn Steakhouse is building its first Springfield location on Glenstone Avenue just south of Battlefield Road. Darden Restaurants spokeswoman Tara Gray said the restaurant will open daily at 11 a.m., with a menu built around Western-style grilled steak, chicken, ribs and fish. A manager has not yet been selected, she said, and the restaurant should employ roughly 85 and seat about 240. Darden Restaurants owns more than 350 restaurants in 33 states, including the Olive Garden and Red Lobster restaurant chains.
