Project description: This children's day-care facility, which will offer 24-hour care, is set to open June 10. It will provide infant care through preschool age, with a maximum capacity for 64 children. Architect Joel Chamberlain said the "playhouse" theme is carried throughout the design. "It's a commercial building that's been put together in a home style to make the kids feel comfortable," he said. The inside is equipped with a full kitchen, washing, drying and diaper-changing facilities, and a gift shop. Owner Roche Harrington, who operates a day care out of her home, said "kid cams" that allow parents to view children activities online will be located in each classroom and two in the playground. The playground features a nature center and tricycle track.
