Project description: Legacy Bank & Trust is building a four-story headquarters on the east side, where Meek’s Lumber Co. once operated. Brandon Taylor, chief financial officer at the bank, said the new location will strengthen the visibility of the company and improve the work environment for staff. He said features include a covered outdoor balcony on the fourth floor, a banking lounge for customers and a fitness center for staff. The building has 1,600 square feet dedicated to retail banking, along with a drive-thru. The second and fourth floors are dedicated for commercial and administrative banking operations, Taylor said, and the third floor is slated to be leased out. He said bank officials have received two inquiries about the space, but no leases have been signed. With the headquarters representing Legacy’s sixth banking location in southwest Missouri, Taylor said officials plan to hire in business development and support roles.
