Project description: Under Kum & Go’s plans to invest $24 million through 2015 on store renovations across Greene County, District Manager Tim McCaleb said the Kimbrough Avenue and Elm Street property was razed and will be rebuilt with a larger footprint and eight fuel pumps. The store is designed to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification with energy-efficient features such as LED lighting and low-flow water fixtures. The West Des Moines, Iowa-based chain operates 46 convenience stores in the county.
