Project description: Necessary renovation of the Pat Jones YMCA pool has led to improvements, said Ozarks Regional YMCA Marketing Director Julie Eaton. In addition to repairing rust due to humidity, the pool wing will increase to 9,700 square feet from 7,200 square feet. Fishel Pools will add a zero-depth entry pool, which will slope to a depth of two feet, followed by two steps down to a depth of three feet. The deck will have spray ground features, and there will be water mushrooms and drop buckets at the pool’s entry. An air-exchange system will be installed to remove humidity. The $1.6 million project, which will be named the Aquatics Center, is funded through a capital campaign; Eaton said $700,000 has been raised.
