Project description: The essence of this project is to enlarge Jay Wolfe Acura of Springfield's showroom to nearly double its capacity. General contractor MECO Systems Inc. demolished the existing space and constructed a 5,600-square-foot showroom. Increased ceiling heights from 16 feet to 28 feet tall "make it look twice as big," said MECO Systems owner Wayne Towe. The former six-car showroom now holds 10 cars, according to Lee Thornton, managing partner of the dealership. The Acura dealer also added 1,600 square feet to its service area in the back of the facility. The remaining 9,000 square feet of space also is being remodeled.
