Project description: The second Houlihan’s Restaurants Inc. site in Springfield will co-anchor The Shoppes at James River near the James River Freeway and Glenstone Avenue interchange. Also under construction in Rankin Development LLC’s 15-acre project is a Hilton Garden Inn. The single-story Houlihan’s will have a wood, stucco and stone exterior, said project manager David Ross. Designed under Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design specifications, energy-efficient features include a geothermal mechanical system, and solar wall and roof panels to provide power, he added. Houlihan’s first local location operates in Springfield’s Doubletree hotel, also owned by O’Reilly Hospitality.
