Project Description: This warehouse will serve as a permanent facility for Help Give Hope, the nonprofit that has operated out of multiple Springfield locations during the past few years, according to David Ross, director of operations with general contractor Morelock-Ross Builders. The structure includes 1,000 square feet of office space, Ross said, and the majority of the warehouse will store items in preparation for the annual Christmas present giveaway. According to HelpGiveHope.org, the organization’s mission is to assist needy families and, in particular, children living in southwest Missouri. Initially designed to offer help during the holiday season, Help Give Hope now provides year-round assistance, including money for utilities and rent, gas vouchers and used cars. Its 2010 Christmas project gave away items to 226 families, including 800 children.[[In-content Ad]]
