Project description: Developers Joe and Marie Carmichael are constructing a two-building, 31-unit affordable housing Engineering Inc. apartment complex.
Tenants must earn 60 percent or less of median income in Greene County to qualify. The two- and three-bedroom apartments will rent for $405 and $450, respectively, according to Marie Carmichael. Mid America Property Management will manage the property, she said. The Carmichaels also plan to build a 32-unit affordable housing apartment complex in Forsyth, though they’re awaiting funding from Missouri Housing Development Commission before constructing the Woodlands Apartments, Carmichael said.
