Project description: Two, three-story microefficiency apartment buildings are going up at the former site of Timmons Temple Church of God in Christ. The 350-square-foot units would lease for $500 per month unfurnished and $600 per month furnished, said Chelsey Bunch, marketing director for TLC Properties, which is contracted to manage the apartments. The complex will feature washers and dryers in each of the 84 units, an outside dog park and a pool available in summer 2016. The church building moved this spring to nearby Silver Springs Park thanks to $250,000 raised by Save Timmons Temple, a nonprofit that sprung into action after Springfield City Council forwarded Greenway Studios’ development plans in early 2014.
