Project description: Work is underway at the Greene County judicial courts building. There, the former sheriff’s office and jail – vacated for a new facility in May 2022 – is being renovated into new court space, and a new 11,000-square-foot building is under construction to connect the existing judicial courts facility to the renovated former jail. The renovated section is designed to feature new courtrooms and administrative offices, project officials say, while the new addition is expected to include a larger security screening area and offices for pretrial services.
