Project description: As a resource to help youth aging out of foster care and into adulthood, the Good Samaritan Resource Center is designed to store new and gently used furniture and household goods for use in their first apartments. With a 3,000-square-foot warehouse area and 2,000 square feet for office space, the building will also serve as a base of operations for community-based staff to engage with youth, donors and community members. Good Samaritan provides treatment programs and older youth services to help young people age out of care with confidence, connections and skills to help them thrive. Officials with the organization say the resource center will help them to expand services to serve more people.
