Project description: The Good Samaritan Boys Ranch is expanding its housing for children transitioning out of foster care. Eight apartment units and an office will complement the 20-bed group home next door on Norton Road, said Kevin Killian, president and CEO of Good Samaritan Boys Ranch. Both are part of the Footsteps Transitional Living program that teaches foster youth life skills and ultimately helps them lease their own apartments with landlords throughout the city. If construction crews don’t finish in December, Killian said he’d expect the project to finish early next year. “Weather’s been good, so they’ve been able to get a lot done on it,” he said.
While a disruption in international trade has the capacity to hurt local farmers and ranchers, beef producers are having a good go of things at the moment.
