Engineers: Anderson Engineering Inc., civil; Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; and Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing Size: 56,963 square feet Estimated cost: $6 million, per city permit Lender: Springfield First Community Bank Estimated completion: October Project description: O’Reilly Hospitality Management is developing its fourth hotel in Springfield and the first flying the Fairfield Inn flag. The work coincides with plans to expand the conference center at O’Reilly Hospitality’s DoubleTree Hotel next door at Glenstone Avenue and Kearney Street. Sales Director Dee King said the 103-room Fairfield would serve as an overflow property for conventions once the DoubleTree expansion finishes in spring 2018. The two properties would share a parking lot, said King, who will manage sales for both hotels. Both projects are behind the developer’s original timelines. The Fairfield is one of four hotels underway that would bring over 400 new rooms to the city this year.
