Project description: When complete, Eko Park will be an Energy Star- and Green Globes-rated apartment complex comprising five buildings and 114 units. There also will be a clubhouse containing the main office, a pool, a lounge and a workout room. Materials and design are inspired by Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design guidelines and include environmentally friendly paints; high-efficiency mechanical systems; renewable construction materials; water-conserving showerheads; drought-resistant landscaping; motion-sensor lighting; and programmable digital thermostats.Compiled by Jim Versemann.
