Project description: The Eagle Stop convenience store is being built to serve the Iron Grain District in Brookline, which is located across the road and slightly north of the Amazon STL3 fulfillment center and just south of the U.S. Highway 60 interchange. Plans call for the store to offer both gas and diesel fueling pumps as well as a grab-and-go kitchen concept and a range of convenience items, according to Jenna Gier, vice president of Gier Oil Co. Inc., which will operate the store. She added signature BirdShack fried chicken and On the Fly Deli items will be among the offerings. Design officials previously told Springfield Business Journal the location of the store is envisioned as contributing to the area’s development and vitality.
