Project description: Dollar General spokeswoman Crystal Ghassemi said the Nixa store would feature a 7,400-square-foot sales floor. Ghassemi said Dollar General selects store locations based on factors including demographic trends and traffic patterns. She said customer convenience is a major consideration, as the company generally operates within a 3- to 5-mile radius, or a 10-minute drive, from shoppers’ homes. Architect Densel Kimbrough said Team Overland is developing the property to lease to Dollar General, and he expects to design up to 100 new stores for Dollar General in 2014.
