Project description: The Doling Aquatics Center is an indoor recreational facility with splash-play features and a slide, therapy pool and three-lane swimming pool, said Jenny Fillmer Edwards, the Park Board’s public information administrator. The project on the campus of the Doling Family Center is designed to accommodate a future outdoor splash playground as well, she said. Project funding was provided by the 1/4-cent countywide Parks sales tax approved by voters in 2006. Edwards said funds have yet to be secured for the outdoor splash playground.
