Project description: Jim Ashby, a member of the church’s building committee, said the expansion would provide additional space for its fellowship hall and Sunday school classes. He said the church also was in need of handicap-accessible bathrooms and a new kitchen. Cumberland Presbyterian Church had been for sale for three years before the members decided to keep the building and embark on the first expansion in its 40-year history, Ashby said.
