Project description: The O’Reilly family donated $500,000 to the crisis nursery, which will be operated by the Junior League of Springfield, according to contractor Matt Bailey. The nursery will offer residential care for children up to age 12, as well as education, support and training services for families in crisis. The facility will be able to house about 20 children at a time. Partners in the effort are Burrell Behavioral Health, Community Partnership of the Ozarks, CoxHealth, Missouri State University, St. John’s Health System and United Way. Springfield-Greene County Park Board will lease the land to the crisis nursery for 25 years.
