Project description: This addition of 695 parking stalls adjacent to the garage at Cox South will bring on line 1,786 spaces at the hospital's south campus. The garage is made of precast, prestressed concrete by Prestressed Casting Co. Other major subcontractors are Hartman & Co., Sechler Electric Inc. and WMC Mechanical, according to CoxHealth officials. Spokeswoman Stacy Fender said via e-mail that the new garage, which is financed internally, is intended for staff use, while patients and visitors will use the existing garage, located closer to the hospital.
