Project description: Finishing touches are being put on CoxHealth’s Meyer Orthopedic Center. Construction is expected to wrap up March 31, but the first patient admission isn’t expected until May 3, said health system spokeswoman Stacy Fender, adding that staff training will occur in the interim. The project comprises a 2,800-square-foot addition, 3,500 square feet of extensive remodeling and 7,600 square feet of light remodeling. Much of the project will be funded through bonds, though the center received its name after a $1.5 million donation from the Kenneth E. and Jane A. Meyer Foundation.
