Project description: A three-story expansion and renovation on CoxHealth’s Branson campus is funded, in part, from a $200 million bond issue in April 2013. CoxHealth spokeswoman Michelle Leroux said in addition to the new construction, the project includes 18,000 square feet of renovations. On the first floor, a 30,700-square-foot emergency department expansion and renovation will result in 32 private exam and treatment rooms and eight holding rooms, Leroux said. The second-floor 15,000-square-foot addition will create 20 private rooms in the intensive care unit, along with amenities for families. The third floor is designed as shell space for a future medical and surgical nursing unit. Los Angeles-based health care consulting and project advisory firm CBRE Group Inc. (NYSE: CBG) is serving as project manager.
