Project description: Victory Mission and Ministry is building a hub to address homelessness in the region with the Chip & Teresa McGeehan Victory Mission and Ministry Headquarters. Springfield Business Journal reporting from 2025 showed Chip and Teresa McGeehan, who own and operate 17 McDonald’s franchises in southwest Missouri, secured naming rights by making a donation of an undisclosed amount, which joins an $11 million allocation from the state of Missouri and other private donations in the project’s funding stack. DeWitt & Associates officials put the construction cost at $18.3 million out of a total project cost of $22 million. They note the building, which will replace a 70-year-old shelter that has reached capacity, aims to provide 160 emergency shelter beds with transitional housing for those working toward independence, as well as long-term recovery housing. Victory Mission’s website states the organization provides restoration services for men and women, an emergency and transitional shelter for men, employment training and senior lunches, among other services.
