Project description: The Nixa church is adding a children’s and youth area, family life center, chapel and adult classrooms on two floors. Lead Pastor Charlene Dart said the church has met at the site for nearly 100 years, and attendance has doubled within the past five years to average 180 per week. A capital campaign raised enough pledges to cover about half the cost, she said. A portion of the previous building was demolished to make room for new construction, and a remodel of the current fellowship hall is creating a nursery, said Jana Long, the church’s administrative assistant.
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
