Project description: A partnership of father-and-son Sam E. Coryell and Sam M. Coryell, the Cambium mixed-use development will bring to the market 127 multifamily units and 9,000 square feet of office space. It’s on over 8 acres – just north of the Thompson Sales Co. auto dealership – which was rezoned earlier this year to make way for the development. Sam M. Coryell said there are no leases signed yet at this early stage. He said TLC Properties, another Coryell family business, would manage Cambium. Also nearby, Mid-Missouri Bank plans to build a new branch and corporate offices on the lot south of its current operations center, 1619 E. Independence St.
Two candidates are vying for a seat being vacated by term-limited Springfield Mayor Ken McClure, who is serving his fourth and final two-year term.
