Project description: Burger King franchisee Broadway Restaurant Group is bringing its first restaurant to Springfield. It’ll feature electronic tablets for children to play games on, an updated interior design and a drive-thru. Thirty to 40 employees are expected to be hired for the chain, according to a news release. The Maryland Heights-based franchise group operates across Missouri and Illinois, including nearby restaurants in Marshfield and Joplin, and officials say they anticipate future expansion in southwest Missouri, according to the release. Burger King currently has five restaurants in Springfield, according to the company’s website.
