Project description: This is phase I of a two-phase project, according to general contractor John Moreno with Omni Construction. The masonry block building will serve as a satellite pick-up/rental location comprising a rental counter, reception area and two private offices. Also in phase I is a 17,000-square-foot parking lot for use by customers, rental cars and employees. Phase II, beginning April 1, comprises an administrative office building to be located behind the phase I structure with a rear entrance on Kentwood Avenue. It is set for completion April 15. Bill Roach, owner of Budget's franchising rights for southwest Missouri, said the company has 26 locations in the state.
