Project description: Fund-raising for this project began in 2002 with an $8 million capital campaign to finance construction of the 31,000-square-foot Stalnaker Unit at 1410 N. Fremont Ave. and remodeling of the Musgrave Unit at 720 S. Park Ave., according to Randy Carpenter, Boys & Girls Clubs of Springfield director of operations. The Henderson Unit, which is relocating to Grant Beach Park from 1300 Boonville Ave., will feature offices, a kitchen, gymnasium, teen center, technology lab, game room and art and music center.
