Project description: The first phase of $30 million Bear Village Apartment Community is the $4.3 million Bear Village apartment complex, according to developer Bryan Magers of Bryan Properties Inc. Magers said he expects the roughly 42,000-square-foot complex, which features 24 apartment units with four bedrooms apiece, to be complete in time for the start of Missouri State University’s fall semester. Leases, Magers said, would be signed per bedroom, and each apartment unit comes with two refrigerators and one flat-screen television. With utilities paid, he said each unit should rent for about $600 per month. All three phases are expected to be finished by fall 2015, according to Magers, who in 2011 earned a 10-year tax abatement for the redevelopment project.
