Project description: A Pizza Ranch franchise is set to occupy half of the new space along the Glenstone Avenue side of Battlefield Mall. The former Ethan Allen store next to Dillard’s was demolished in February to make way for restaurant and retail tenants. Mall officials say only the pizza and salad buffet restaurant has signed on so far. Doug Kissinger, a partner in the 12-member Pizza Ranch franchise group, has said he expects to open by the holiday season. The group also operates the Pizza Ranch in Branson, which opened in October 2018. They own the rights to one more store in Springfield. Inside the mall, general contractor The Law Co. worked on renovations of the food court earlier this year.
