Project description: Adam Pyle & Associates Project Manager Lane McMurry said the Golden-based business is opening a retail facility in Springfield that will feature two service bays for automotive battery installations. According to BatteryOutfitters.com, the company operates five stores in Missouri and Arkansas, and opened its first retail site in Joplin in 1996. The company sells batteries that serve the automotive, commercial and marine industries, and its retail locations sell a line of batteries for household goods. McMurry said the Springfield store would include a service center for customers. Battery Outfitters owner Lane Shumaker said the store would sell watch batteries to desk-size batteries for telecommunications systems.
