Project description: This Nixa church is adding a 400-seat sanctuary as well as gathering and nursery spaces, said architect Billy Kimmons, who took the project with him when he left Lohmeyer-Russell to start BK Architects in mid-2008. It also includes a 4,000-square-foot unfinished balcony. "The mission and motto is 'a church with a warm heart,' so the design tried to embrace that and create a warm and inviting entry," Kimmons said, noting that interior design was by Springfield-based Integrity Design. A second phase, which has not been designed yet, would add a children's classroom wing, Kimmons said.[[In-content Ad]]
