Project description: The Boys & Girls Club Stalnaker Unit will replace the packed Kynion Unit on East Division. Executive director Pat Gartland said the facility will feature a learning center, technology center, game room, art room, music center, gym with bleachers, kitchen with attached meeting room and teen center. It also will house the administrative offices. The Stalnaker Unit construction, estimated to cost $4.5 million raised from donations, is the first phase of updating the Springfield facilities. Other projects are remodels of the Henderson Unit on Boonville and the Musgrave Unit on South Park Avenue. Gartland said contributors have donated $4.3 million to the My Generation Capital Campaign so far. |ret||ret||tab|
