Frisco bike shop in Willard to close

Frisco Bicycle Rental Sales and Service, a 4-year-old business in Willard, is closing up shop.

The venture, launched in 2018 by Matt and Cari Harrison, is slated to shutter next month, according to a post on Frisco Bicycle's Facebook page.

The post signed by Cari Harrison cites family needs for the closure.

"We have always prided ourselves on being family owned and operated, but in the last year we have had to hire employees as our life has gotten exponentially busier. They have all been amazing, and we have loved each of them like family," the post reads.

"It was my hope to return to the shop to take over the day-to-day operations but raising a teenage daughter and balancing a household comes first. I am very much the type of person that gives 100% to everything I do, and I can no longer do that with the bike shop."

Located along the Frisco Highline Trail in Willard, the business operates inside shipping containers, selling and renting bikes, as well as inner tubes, bottle cages, grips and helmets, according to past reporting. Bike repairs also have been provided.

Frisco Bicycle's Facebook page indicates the company is selling its inventory at discounted prices ahead of the planned closure in August.
