Fried Design ownership launches screen-printing biz

Posted online

The ownership of Springfield brand design and illustration studio Fried Design Co. have started a screen-printing business.

Josh Sullivan, founder and co-owner of Fried Design Co., said today is the official launch day for Cast Iron Print Works LLC after nearly a year of work to bring it to fruition. He said both companies operate out of the Fried office space, 3938 S. Lone Pine Ave., Ste. 102, in the Galloway Creek development.

The Cast Iron Print Works screen-print company focuses on custom apparel and promotion products, and organizers say its partnership with Fried Design will offer clients services from initial concept development through final production.

Sullivan declined to disclose startup costs for Cast Iron Print Works.

"We did have to purchase quite a lot of new equipment that we're amped to put to good use," he said via email. "We did bring on a new hire, Wes Eaton, who closed his print shop in Memphis to move to Springfield and take a production manager and lead printer position with us at Cast Iron."

Sullivan said he owns Cast Iron Print Works with wife Julirose Sullivan, Todd Carroll and Bryan Elliott, associate creative director at Fried. The Fried ownership team consists of the Sullivans and Carroll.
