Twenty-First Century Fox and its backer Disney announced Wednesday plans to sell its 39 percent stake in Sky to Comcast.
The move clears Comcast to move forward with its $40 billion acquisition of the British satellite TV giant.
Disney stands to gain $15.3 billion for Fox's portion of Sky, according to the Philadelphia Business Journal.
