Fox, Blackstone interested in buying Tribune Media

The New York Times reports 21st Century Fox is in talks with investment firm Blackstone Group to bid on Tribune Media and its stable of television stations.

Fox is said to be competing against Sinclair Broadcast Group, people familiar with the matter said.

As of Friday, Tribune's market value was $3.2 billion.
