Price Cutter and St. John’s Health System are among the latest contributors who have committed gifts to Missouri State University’s JQH Arena, now under construction.

MSU today announced four new gifts totaling $1.75 million for the $67 million arena, named after hotelier John Q. Hammons for his $30 million contribution to the project. The arena is slated to be finished in fall 2008.

Price Cutter has committed to sponsor the arena’s east concourse, which will house the MSU Athletics Hall of Fame. The east concourse will be located just off the arena’s Grand Entrance.

St. John’s Health System will sponsor the arena’s south concourse.

Bill R. Foster and the Foster Family Foundation have signed on to sponsor the University Suite, and Tom Strong with The Strong Law Firm and the Strong family have committed to help fund the arena’s Grand Entrance, the only public entry into the facility.

Previous gifts to the arena include Prime Inc.’s $1 million contribution for the facility’s Prime Overtime Club, and Great Southern Bank’s gift of between $1.5 million and $1.8 million to purchase a video scoreboard.[[In-content Ad]]
