Foundation repair company coming to Springfield

Posted online

Omaha, Nebraska-based Thrasher Foundation Repair is paving the way for its Springfield market entry.

The foundation and concrete repair company is targeting an opening this fall for a local office that would serve more than 30 southwest Missouri counties. It would be Thrasher Foundation Repair's seventh office companywide, according to a news release.

“The decision to expand into the Springfield market was a logical one for us,” said Dan Thrasher, president of Thrasher Foundation Repair, in the release. “We love the area. The economic health of the region is strong."

The company has not yet secured a physical location, Thrasher said, noting he toured buildings in Springfield two weeks ago.

"We have options for a lease lined up while we continue to look to see if we can find something to buy," he said via email.

Thrasher said the Springfield office would hire 10 employees immediately and additional workers throughout 2021.

Thrasher Foundation Repair's website lists a Missouri office in Kansas City. The company also has offices in Kansas, Nebraska and Iowa. In addition to foundation and concrete repair, the company also waterproofs basements and deals with mold problems, among other services. Thrasher Foundation Repair was founded in 1975, according to the release.
