Forvis Mazars LLP has conducted an acquisition in Florida.
The company, which operates its Springfield office at 910 St. Louis St., announced in a news release that it acquired Orlando-based MSL PA on Nov. 1. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed in the release.
The acquisition adds 120 employees, including 14 partners, and an office apiece in Orlando, Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee. Forvis Mazars is expanding its footprint in Florida that already included locations in Tampa, Jacksonville and the South Florida region.
“MSL has an incredible reputation in Florida, and we are excited about the opportunities to leverage each other’s strengths to serve clients here in new and dynamic ways,” said Paul Thompson, Florida managing partner for Forvis Mazars, in the release. “This is a great cultural fit as well, which was important as we considered how this could benefit our people and clients.”
MSL is known for providing audit, tax and consulting services.
An agreement announced last year between FORVIS LLP and Paris-based international audit, tax and advisory firm Mazars Group became effective on June 1, creating a global accounting network with $5 billion in combined revenue that comprises Forvis Mazars LLP in the United States and Forvis Mazars Group SC operating internationally in more than 100 countries and territories, according to past reporting. The firm had around 40,000 employees and 1,800 partners globally when the deal was finalized.
