Milestones: Forward for FORVIS

Certified public accounting firm FORVIS LLP penned a deal to purchase a Michigan-based software development and consulting firm.

FORVIS, which operates in Springfield at 910 St. Louis St., on Aug. 1 is slated to close on the acquisition of the assets of Thales Consulting. The financial terms of the deal were undisclosed in a news release.

Since 2020, FORVIS has been a certified implementor of Thales Consulting' software-as-a-service platform called The Reporting Solution, which helps to prepare financial reports. Thales, based in Marquette, Michigan, works with hundreds of public-sector clients nationwide.

“Thales Consulting is an established team that brings an impressive skill set to FORVIS,” said Denny Ard, partner and national director of Edge, the innovation lab of FORVIS, in the release. "Their product, their unique knowledge of the public-sector industry and their focus on excellent client service are some of the many reasons we decided to explore working together."

Eight Thales team members, including President Joe Stimac, are slated to join FORVIS. Stimac will be a director.
