Jonathan Dodd of Buxton-Kubik-Dodd Inc. is the architect for Forrester Tech, a new division of The Forrester Group, at 605 N. Boonville Ave., for owners Ray, Ben and Thad Forrester. Joyce Buxton of Buxton-Kubik-Dodd is the interior designer. Genesis Design Group is the mechanical engineer and Mettemeyer Engineering is the structural engineer. Bailey Co. LLC is the general contractor. The project creates a state-of-the-art showroom for Forrester Tech’s automation products within a 5,800-square-foot art deco landmark building built in 1947. Renovations include a fully automated theater, teleconferencing room, private offices and reception space. Potential clients will be able to see innovative technology products showcased in creative ways that either completely conceal components in the ceiling, wall or cabinetry, or show them in full view with custom features and finishes. All building modifications were done with respect to the existing architecture and extreme attention to detail to make the old and new components seamless. The theater and lobby feature art-deco-inspired murals, custom carpet and signage that embrace the building’s character.
