Former Wal-Mart CEO survives plane crash

Former Wal-Mart CEO Bill Simon survived a plane crash Tuesday. He was piloting the plane headed to Waco, Texas, from Bentonville, Ark.

When the Cirrus SR22T began to lose altitude, Simon deployed a parachute and managed to glide the plane to the ground in Fayetteville, Ark.

Seconds before touching down, the plane struck a pickup truck carrying a female driver and two children. All involved, including three on the plane, walked away with minor injuries.
