Former Toyota president dies

Eiji Toyoda, the former persident of Toyota Motors and nephew of its founder, died last week. He was 100.

Toyoda served as president 1967-1982 and served as chairman and then adviser until his Sept. 17 death, according to the New York Times.

Toyoda was instrumental in Toyota's expansion overseas, as well as bolstering a line of luxury models, among other accomplishments.
