Former STL pastor, adviser gets prison for fraud

A former minister at New Birth Powerplex Ministries in north St. Louis and investment adviser was sentenced to 51 months in prison for fraud.

Mark Stafford, of Florissant, previously pleaded guilty to mail fraud and filing a false tax return in connection with his company Stafford Financial Firm.

Stafford took roughly $1.26 million from 31 victims as part of the scheme.
