Former Rams quarterback to open home for people with disabilities

Posted online
Former St. Louis Rams quarterback and Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Kurt Warner, now working as a part-time TV analyst for NFL Network, can add developer to his resume.

Warner and his wife, Brenda, are opening Treasure House, a space for people with disabilities to live, work and play, in Glendale, Ariz. The couple pursued the project after their son, Zachary, suffered a traumatic brain injury as a baby that blinded him and resulted in developmental disabilities, the St. Louis Business Journal reports.

Don Cardon, CEO of Cardon Development Group, purchased the land in Glendale two years ago, and has donated it to the Warners to build their $5 million project that will create some 1,000 jobs. The 36,000-square-foot facility will be home to 30 individual apartments, serving individuals with disabilities aged 19 to 35.
