Jair Bolsonaro, former president of Brazil, has been sentenced to 27 years and three months in prison.
Bolsonaro was convicted of all five counts in the case through which he was found guilty of plotting to overturn the 2022 election and assassinate the president-elect, according to CNN.
Bolsonaro denied wrongdoing in the trial.
